Today the new oncologist (for the next 2 weeks on the ward)visited Dave.He will be getting a blood transfusion for anemia and I.V.'s for getting the calcium down. Maybe radiotherapy for the bone.

The Journey
When I first learned that I had cancer, it didn't seem too serious. The tumour was just beneath the skin, so the surgeon took it out and I started taking treatments to prevent a relapse. However, in January 2009, I found out out that the treatments weren't working and I have new tumours. There is no medical cure, only therapies that may slow the disease down. These work in about 30% of the cases. If they don't work, I can expect to die in 1 to 2 years.
